Marketing Intern

PURPOSE OF THIS INTERNSHIP

We at Guiang Mobile are looking for a marketing and sales intern. A growing start up with many projects, we are growing and need extra help.  The intern will work with some of the mobile the most innovative, exciting and marketers as well as work towards finding innovative and creative avenues to present content on the mobile platform. This internship will also provide an opportunity to learn about how the media landscapes works as well as how communications/PR plays out in the marketing mix. It will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the daily operations. Responsibilities will vary, but at the end of the day this experience is what you make of it - all we ask for is a whole lot of creativity.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Attending and actively participating in marketing and set-up.
2. Participating in pitching media (print, broadcast, web) to generate awareness of technology and properties
3. Learning the basic elements of Marketing and Sales.
4. Updating spreadsheets and calendars.
5. Maintaining and updating info net postings.
6. Researching relevant blogs daily and assisting in the brainstorming of projects, programs, and partnerships.
7. Delivering and picking up items from contacts.
8. Sending out provided responses to proposals.
9. Assisting in daily activities.
10. Gathering research via field market visits and the internet.
11. Constructing monthly recaps.
12. Assisting in meeting coordinating and preparations.
13. Organizing expenses.
14. Providing assistance on-site as needed.


INTERNSHIP DETAILS

1. Duration: 3 months
2. Hours: 10-25 hours per week
3. Location: Majority of time will be spent working from home, but must be local to Diamond Bar.

1. Actively enrolled in a four-year college/university
2. Business, Marketing or public relations concentration preferred
3. Related media relations and public relations experience ideal

6. Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people of all levels; team player
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills – specifically in the area of plan development and writing for the media
